Chomp Excavation & Demolition Pty Ltd comply with all OH&S safety standards: we employ stringent occupational health & safety measures in all of our service areas including demolition, excavation and asbestos removal. We know that each project we are contracted for is different and requires revised consideration of various OH&S policies and procedures. With this in mind, we develop a specific Safe Work Method Statement for each of our projects regardless of whether it is asbestos removal, demolition and excavation or a combination of all three services.

The following is a summary of Chomp Excavation & Demolition comprehensive OH&S system in place which complies with the OHS Act 2000, OHS Regulation 2001 and the Australian Standards AS2601.

Chomp Excavation & Demolition is fully insured and licensed for non-friable Asbestos Removal Services: Our Demolition License enables us to carry out removal of bonded asbestos, or non-friable asbestos, which makes up the majority of asbestos-containing materials in residences and other buildings throughout NSW.

Chomp Demolition and Excavation Services are fully WorkCover compliant: Restricted Demolition License and in each and every demolition and excavation project:

Notification of WorkCover at least 7 working days before the beginning of each demolition and excavation project
Completion of a permit application and a risk assessment for any induced collapse or explosive demolition works
Beginning excavation and demolition works only after a stamped approval from WorkCover
Adherence to any and all relevant codes of practice and standards as they relate to the OH&S Act 2000, the OH&S Regulation 2001 and Australian Standards AS2601
